The riddle presented to Harvard students causes a stir on social networks

Most people fail at this riddle that is said to be presented to prospective students at Harvard University.

If you think you have the math skills, can work well under high pressure and have sharp vision – this brain game is definitely for you.

But only 10% of those who attempt this seemingly impossible question are actually successful, which means you have to be a real genius to be able to find the answer, Telegraph reports.

"Seven men have seven wives", says the riddle.

"Every man and every woman has seven children. What is the total number of people”?

It might sound pretty straightforward, but don't be fooled.

Have you already given up, or do you think you've got it figured out?

The answer is as follows:

There are seven men, each man has a wife, which means there are seven women. Each of them has seven children. So 14 people each have seven children, which equals 98.

7 +7 + 98 = 112. /Telegraph/
