Analysts have commented on the visit of the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, in Kosovo and his statements regarding President Vjosa Osmani.

On the show "Debat Plus" on TV Dukagjini, Imer Mushkolaj said that Rama has taken President Osmani by surprise, by publicly revealing what he described as a state "secret". According to him, the statement that Osmani has been under pressure for two years to hand over materials from the Office of the President to investigators in The Hague is information that had not been made public before.

"Even after calling us, Vjosa Osmani was under terrible pressure for a couple of years by not providing Hague investigators with materials from the President's Office," said Mushkolaj, cynically asking if this was a surprise to the public.

He, however, interpreted Rama's statement as a form of support for the president.

On the other hand, analyst Ylli Hoxha assessed that Rama expressed sympathy for Osmani during the visit, describing this as a political “tip.” According to him, the visit was welcome, but the lack of a joint press conference shows that disagreements still exist between the parties.

"In diplomatic terms, these are avoided by eliminating the conference. So, it may be important communication, but not a great reconciliation," said Hoxha.

Analyst Sadri Ramabaja, commenting on Edi Rama's visit to Kosovo, stated that there is a "marked lack of patriotism" in Tirana.

"His commitment in Pristina does not fill this gap," he said.

Ramabaja further emphasized that "the occasional, not very natural, rapprochement with one side and the other, as well as the attack on the other, in this situation would probably contribute best if it had not interfered at all with regard to the president."

Otherwise, during his speech on the trial of former KLA leaders in the Kosovo Specialized Chambers, Rama stated that President Osmani had been threatened for two consecutive years by prosecutors, after she had not allowed, according to him, a search of the President's Office for materials that would damage Kosovo's image.

According to Rama, the threat had lasted two years, but he added that Osmani had stopped such an action "for her honor and that of Kosovo."Telegrafi/
