In a solemn ceremony held in Tirana, the Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, was awarded the high title "Doctor Honoris Causa", an important recognition that honors his scientific, professional and social contribution at home and abroad.

The title was approved and awarded by the National Kapodistrian University, one of the oldest higher education institutions in Southeastern Europe, in cooperation with the Diplomatic Mission for Security, Peace and Philanthropy (UDMP) based in Brussels.


During his speech, Rector Hajrizi expressed special gratitude for this assessment, describing it as an additional motivation to continue the academic and human mission.

"It is a special honor for me to be given this high title, and I take this recognition as a great responsibility to continue my dedicated work for education, innovation and service to society. This award takes on even more meaning coming in the festive month of November, a month associated with our national pride and identity. With this motivation, I will continue to promote prosperity, sustainable development and international values ​​that connect us to the democratic world", said Rector Hajrizi.

The official motivation for the award states that the title is given: "For legal, economic and human rights contributions in the service of people in need and all humanity throughout the world."

This prestigious award comes in recognition of Prof. Dr. Hajrizi's continued commitment in the fields of education, innovation, security, economic development, and community empowerment.
