At yesterday's session of the Skopje City Council, thanks to the unwavering commitment, professionalism and state-building approach of the VLEN councilors, the budget rebalance for 2025 was approved, a decisive step that paves the way for smarter management of public money and for projects that directly impact the lives of citizens.
The approved rebalance creates the basis for more efficient management of public funds, ensuring that every denar goes where it is needed most: to quality services, modern infrastructure, and city maintenance.
VLEN advisors were fully supportive of this process, demonstrating a responsible and constructive approach to the financial stabilization of Skopje.
This rebalance paves the way for: strengthening development programs 2025–2027, technological modernization and digital services, road maintenance and infrastructure management during winter, public cleanliness and greenery, support for public enterprises, and improvement of social, environmental, cultural and educational policies.
VLEN thanks all the councilors who supported this process and contributed to the return of institutional stability. This is an important step towards a functioning Skopje, a cleaner, more modern and more efficient city.
