Residents of the south west of England woke up to a rare pink mist today, while the temperature was around 18 degrees Celsius, twice the usual temperature for this time of February.

According to meteorologists, this natural phenomenon was caused by the rays of the sunrise, which penetrated with difficulty through the dense fog, Telegrafi reports.

The mysterious scene lasted for several hours, reducing the visibility in the airports of the area and consequently, the cancellation of many flights.

On the other side, the heat that reigned drove away the fog and allowed the sun to shine. This weekend will be the hottest in England since the beginning of this year. /Telegraph/
