Problems that emerged with the preliminary results on Sunday, the CEC invites the Prosecutor's Office and other security institutions to clarify the situation

The Central Election Commission informs the citizens of Kosovo that after the end of voting at polling stations and after the end of voting outside Kosovo at diplomatic missions and by mail, the entire commitment of the institution is focused on announcing the final results for political entities and candidates for deputies.

The CEC also announces that due to the problems that appeared on election day, on their platform, they have called on the State Prosecutor's Office and other security institutions to clarify the situation, reports Telegrafi.

Until the final results are announced, the CEC announces that it must count the votes of candidates for deputies and verify the votes of political entities from the forms that were filled out at polling stations; count conditional votes; votes of people with special needs and votes from voting outside Kosovo, reports Telegrafi.

The announcement made to the media also states that the CEC is fully committed to ensuring that all these processes are carried out as quickly as possible, while ensuring accuracy in recording the will of each voter.

"The CEC clarifies that the integrity of the vote is not compromised and despite the delays caused by problems with the electronic platform, the final results will be accurate and based on the will of citizens expressed through their votes. We started the process of counting the votes of candidates for deputies and verifying the votes of political entities yesterday at the Municipal Counting Centers in the municipalities of: Pristina, Lipjan, Obiliq and Partesh," the statement states.

It is also noted that in the NCCs of Obiliq, Lipjan and Partesh, the process of counting and recording these results on the electronic platform and digital forms was carried out without any problems, but in the NCC of Pristina, occasional problems have arisen.

Currently, the counting process is underway in these Municipal Counting Centers and will begin during the day in other centers, which we will announce.

"Given the fact that on Sunday evening there were problems with the platform for preliminary results not functioning, the CEC has called on the State Prosecutor's Office and other security institutions to clarify the situation and for technical support," the announcement continues.

The CEC has made itself available for cooperation with all relevant stakeholders and is working to complete the counting and address technical issues of malfunction.

Meanwhile, regarding the preliminary results of political entities and participation, in which inaccuracies have been identified during these days, the CEC announces that they are taking all actions to make the necessary improvements and the public will be notified in due course.telegraph/
