A strong earthquake has shaken the Greek capital of Athens, cutting off telephone and electricity networks in some parts of the city.
According to foreign media, Telegrafi reports, the magnitude 5.1 earthquake had an epicenter about 22km (14 miles) northwest of Athens.
Fortunately, there were no serious injuries, although there were two buildings destroyed.
However, seismologists warn that there could be more earthquakes in the coming hours.
It is known that the earthquake was felt particularly powerfully in the center of Athens, where people stood on the streets after evacuating high-rise buildings.
There were reports that fire services, which received 76 calls according to local media, rescued more than a dozen people trapped in elevators after the power cut.
Meanwhile, some images have been published in which it is said how the buildings were "shaken". /Telegraph/
