After many months of searching, Beqir Maloku, a 69-year-old man from the village of Saradran in the municipality of Istog, was found without signs of life.
According to the police report, the victim was reported missing on August 17, 2025 at around 07:00. However, on March 7, 2026, family members notified the police that he was found without signs of life.
The relevant police units, as well as the team from the Institute of Forensic Medicine (IML), have arrived at the scene to carry out the necessary procedures.
The police had declared Beqir Maloku wanted after reporting his disappearance, asking for citizens' help in locating him.
The victim's brother, Isa Maloku, through a statement on social media, expressed the deep pain of his family and friends for the loss of Beqir. "With deep sorrow, we inform our family, friends and well-wishers that today our hopes of finding our beloved brother alive have been dashed. Today we received the bitter news, with tears in our eyes and a broken heart, that Beqir Shaqir Maloku from the village of Saradran, Istog municipality, has left us at the age of 69," the victim's brother announced.
The funeral will take place on March 8, 2026, at 16:00 PM, at the Saradran village cemetery.
The police have announced that by decision of the prosecutor, the body has been sent for autopsy, while the case has been initiated as a "death investigation". /Telegraph/
