Pristinas on Halloween just for the kids

Tonight is Halloween, the day of the return of dead spirits, witches with broomsticks, black cats, darkness and all things scary. Citizens around the world show this through the disguise they make for themselves.

This kind of masks can also be seen on the faces of the citizens of Pristina, who for several years now join other citizens of the world to celebrate this holiday.

In Pristina, you can also see other symbols of this holiday, such as large pumpkins lit from the inside, skeletons, shadow figures, various strange costumes.

Halloween, even though it started to be celebrated in Kosovo in recent years, in the world it turns into a competition between VIPs for the most beautiful costume.

Halloween spread in Kosovo in the last five years, becoming more concrete, mainly celebrated by young people and children.

And children are the main reason that have pushed many parents to come out to the squares and streets of Pristina to celebrate this holiday.

"I can say that for children it is something more interesting. It is something we look forward to this day. I don't know what to say about us. It's a feeling for us too, it's interesting, but I don't know what to tell you," said citizen Ardita Avdiu.

On the other hand, citizen Ardita Grajqevci said: "The desire of children. I don't know".

"We came out here because of the children's enjoyment because our children had fun celebrating Halloween night. No, it's the first time we come here because of the children", emphasized Teuta Maraj, another citizen.

Halloween originates from the Celts, who celebrated the turn of the year in their calendar, on the night between October 31 and November 1. 600 years BC the Celtic people welcomed in this way the dark months of winter while separating at the same time from the flourishing period of summer.

However, this thing has not reached the ears of the majority of citizens. They do not know the importance of celebrating Halloween night.

"They don't understand this holiday so much, but for me it's a scary holiday", added Ardita Avdiu.

But there are also those citizens who think that this holiday is not for Muslim believers.

"No. It doesn't matter to me. This holiday seems to us to be Christian. It is not for us", said Valoni, another citizen from Pristina.

On the other hand, there are shops and many kiosks in Pristina, which have released various masks for sale. Behind the camera, they told KosovaPress that children are most interested in buying them.

Meanwhile, various nightclubs have organized musical evenings, including prizes for the best costume or disguise for Halloween. /Telegraph/
