The Minister of Health, Azir Aliu, together with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government and Minister for European Affairs, Bekim Sali, today visited the new premises of the Institute of Transfusion Medicine in Tetovo.

Sali said that with today's promotion, the process of reconstructing the new spatial capacities of the Institute of Transfusion Medicine in Tetovo has been completed.

"For this purpose, the Institute has invested about 8.3 million denars. The Regional Transfusion Center in Tetovo, as an integral part of the Institute, also includes three smaller centers: in Gostivar, Kicevo and Struga. This regional center processes blood collected from other centers, provides outpatient health services to patients, organizes blood donation campaigns and supplies clinics and hospitals in this region with blood and blood products," - emphasized Minister Aliu during the visit.

He emphasized that the Ministry is also continuously working to strengthen human resources capacities, especially in institutions where people have been identified as engaged for a long time with work contracts.

"At the Institute of Transfusion Medicine, which has regional services throughout the country, the employment competition ended at the end of last year and a total of 48 people have already been employed, some of whom are also here, at the Institute of Transfusion Medicine in Tetovo. Our commitment to strengthening the infrastructural and human capacities in public health institutions continues, with the aim of providing more accessible and quality health services to all citizens of the country," Aliu added.
