The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development has announced that the hunting season for the period 2025–2026 will open on October 19, 2025 (Sunday), for certain species of wild animals, reports Telegraph.
The decision signed by the Ministry states that the opening of the hunting season is carried out in accordance with the Law on Hunting and relevant by-laws, with the aim of preserving the balance of wild fauna and sustainable management of natural resources.
The Municipality of Hani i Elezit informs all hunters' associations and persons who possess valid hunting permits that hunting activities can only be carried out in designated areas and for animal species approved by the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to the Ministry's instructions, all hunting associations are obliged to organize regular field observations and report on the number and types of animals hunted, in accordance with annual management plans.
Hunting of protected species is also prohibited, as is the use of ammunition or unauthorized means. Municipal and Ministry inspectors will be on site to ensure full compliance with the law and security measures.
The Municipality of Hani i Elezit appeals to all hunters to act with care and responsibility towards nature, respecting legal restrictions and regulations in force. /Telegrafi/
