The National Development Strategy (NDS) for the period 2024 - 2044 is a key document that defines the main national development goals, strategic areas and priorities for accelerated, inclusive, balanced, gender-equal and sustainable development, announced by the Government of North Macedonia.
Therefore, they emphasize that any future plan or strategy will need to be included in the NDS, which calculates 46 development points.
In addition, as a strategic and development document, the NDS identifies key challenges and national priorities, particularly taking into account Macedonia's aspiration to join the European Union (EU) by 2030 and the commitment to sustainable development embodied in the 2030 Agenda.
The main idea of the NDS is to ensure continuity in strategic planning and a sustainable response to key challenges, regardless of political orientation.
