The murder of two Albanian brothers in Belgrade is solved after 27 years

After 27 years, the murder of two Albanians, Haki Avduti and Jakup Avduti, in Belgrade has been solved. The suspected perpetrator of this murder is Zoran V. (48), who was recently arrested.

According to Serbian media Blic, the murder occurred on January 26, 1998, in a building on "Zmaj Jovina" street.

The High Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has announced that there is a well-founded suspicion that on January 26, 1998, on the fourth floor of an apartment, Zoran V. took the lives of Haki and Jakupi with pistol shots.

The murder occurred after the suspect put on a black mask and gloves, and when the victims reached the door of apartment number 14, he shot at them.

After the crime, he fled, removing and throwing away the hood and gloves he had used to hide his identity.

Zoran lived and worked in Novi Sad for 27 years, until he was arrested in a drug and weapons case.

His DNA, taken during this case, linked him to the murder of two Albanians.

The High Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has filed an indictment against him for the criminal offense of "Aggravated Murder".
