The murder of a 19-year-old in Vushtrri and the arrest of the perpetrator – everything known so far

A tragic event shook the city of Vushtrri last night, where 19-year-old AZ was shot dead.

According to the police, the incident occurred on "Galip Badivuku" street in Vushtrri at around 20:35 p.m.

The victim was shot to death by a suspect, BD, also 19 years old.

"Around 20:35, the police received information about gunshots, the incident occurred on "Galip Badivuku" street in Vushtrri. Initial investigations reveal that as a result of the gunshot wounds, the male/Kosovar victim, about 19 years old, lost his life," Avni Zahiti, the spokesperson for the Kosovo Police for the Mitrovica Region, told Telegraf last night.

The victim was taken to Vushtrri Hospital, where the medical team confirmed that the victim was without signs of life.

Following the incident, police launched an investigation and managed to arrest the suspect, while during a raid on his home they confiscated a pistol and a long gun.

After the suspect's arrest, the prosecutor remanded him in police custody.

At the scene, investigators seized three shell casings as material evidence.

It is not yet clear whether this incident is related to a previous conflict between the victim and the perpetrator, or if there was another motive.

Investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident are continuing in coordination with the Prosecutor's Office. /Telegraph/
