The Municipality of Istog, through the Directorate for Emergencies and Public Services, has issued an important statement to citizens regarding the use of pyrotechnic devices during the end-of-year holidays.
This announcement is made to raise awareness of the dangers that improper use of these tools can bring and to ensure that the celebrations take place without incidents and accidents.
Based on the legislation in force and the instructions issued by the relevant authorities, the Municipality of Istog appeals for a careful use of pyrotechnic devices and respects safety measures. Users of these devices are requested not to sell them to persons under 18 years of age and to use them only in safe and open spaces to the public, avoiding residential areas and closed facilities.
Citizens are also urged not to purchase pyrotechnic materials that do not have appropriate declarations and to be regular, as well as to respect the dates allowed for their use, from December 19 to January 2. The use of pyrotechnic devices in unauthorized periods and locations can pose risks to the life and health of citizens, as well as to the surrounding environment.
