The Ministry allocates financial resources for Urban Traffic, Murati accuses Rama of spreading misinformation

The Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, has announced that financial resources worth 2.7 million euros have been allocated for the category of goods and services, a fund dedicated to paying public transport operators in Pristina.
According to him, this amount was processed separately from the rest of the project of 25.9 million euros for capital investments, as the latter require longer time for finalization.
Murati explained that the decision of the Municipality of Pristina, taken on Thursday evening on the use of own revenues, had to first pass the verification of legality by the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA), as well as by the Ministry of Finance, since it is a budgetary issue. He emphasized that this process was completed yesterday "in record time", as promised to the representatives of the public transport unions.
The Minister recalled that the procedures could not be carried out earlier because Friday and the weekend were not working days, while today the Budget Department has been in constant communication with the financial officials of the Municipality of Pristina, who - according to him - have been informed about every step of the process.
Murati criticized the statements of the Municipality of Pristina, which he described as "untrue", adding that the claims of blocking funds by the ministry are unfounded.
He expressed the expectation that the Municipality will have correctly assessed the financial obligations towards public transport operators, since it has only allocated 2.7 million euros for this category, and that these funds will be used to repay debts and to conclude, as he said, "the farce of the alleged blockade." /Telegrafi/
