"The crazy people on the island secretly rule the world" - did 'The Simpsons' know about Jeffrey Epstein?

Viewers noticed a detail in the animated series "The Simpsons" - the existence of an island owned by convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
In the season 12 episode "The Computer Wore Menace Shoes", which aired in 2000, Homer creates a website to spread rumors and fake news under the pseudonym ZX.
Among Homer's conspiracy theories is a reference to "madmen on an island," which viewers interpreted as a private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands that was owned by Jeffrey Epstein.

A scene from the episode, written by John Swartzwelder and directed by Mark Kirkland, featured a notice in Mr. X that read: "Attention: Some madmen on some island secretly rule the world."
The reactions from viewers on social media were numerous.
"I was left speechless after this episode", "This is not a series, but a description of our lives from real life", "They knew everything", are some of the comments about this series.
Some social media users have claimed that "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening allegedly traveled on one of Epstein's private jets. /Telegraph/
