The campaign for the local elections has entered its final week, while the candidates of the WLEN and AKI coalitions have continued with their activities.

The candidate for mayor from the VLEN coalition, Bilall Kasami, as part of the election campaign today promised the people of Tetova a new modern stadium as well as the construction of several open sports fields in the primary and secondary schools of Tetova.

According to Kasami, investments in the sports sector will reach around 16 million euros, while investments are also planned in the construction of swimming pools in several primary schools in Tetovo. He also promised the construction of six new sports halls.

"Also, a proper sports center will be built with two large-scale football fields (one with natural grass and one with artificial grass), with modern stands for fans, as well as a multifunctional sports field for young people. An important part of this project is the construction of an auxiliary facility for the Tetovo football teams, which will meet all the standards required by the FFM. Within the framework of this project, the construction of a large-scale football stadium in the village of Saraqinë is also foreseen. Today I am here to closely observe the progress of the works for the construction of the new stand opposite the main stand. According to what can be seen on the ground, intensive work is being done for a stadium according to European standards", said Bilall Kasami.

His opponent from the AKI has published a video on social networks showing part of his vision for the city of Tetovo.

"Tetova suffers from a lack of urban planning. Unplanned construction, urban chaos and narrow interests have held back the development of our city. In the first year, we will adopt a general urban plan in cooperation with local and international experts. This plan will guarantee sustainable development, control of construction, and will give direction to the urban development of our city. Tetova will grow with a plan and vision while preserving public spaces for citizens," says Rexhepi.

The candidate for mayor of the Municipality of Chair from AKI, Bujar Osmani, within the framework of the election campaign, promises to put an end to the practice of political blackmail through unresolved requests for legalization, which, according to him, have been kept in drawers for years as a means of pressure on citizens.

Osmani promised that if he becomes mayor within six months, where there is a legal basis, no case will remain unresolved. He also warned that he will review current projects.

"Yesterday I spoke about the illegal construction of these houses. There were about 13.000 requests in Chair. Many of these files have not been resolved. They are kept in drawers and are kept for elections and citizens are conditioned, if you vote for us we will legalize their houses. I also said we will stop this from day one. For six months, where there is a legal basis, there will be no more files. We do not dare to condition citizens with work for which we have an obligation to them. Or as is done now with these works a month or a week before the elections. Where is the mayor? Has anyone seen the mayor?", declared Bujar Osmani.
Meanwhile, his opponent from the ranks of VLEN for the Municipality of Chair, Izet Mexhiti, within the framework of the election campaign, has presented concrete measures to improve conditions in primary education, with particular emphasis on social equality, security and support for families.

Mexhiti emphasized that students will have uniforms, fully financed by the budget of the Municipality of Chair, while daily meals will also be covered for students who come from families that benefit from social assistance.

"In all primary schools in our municipality, students will have uniforms, fully financed by the budget of the Municipality of Chair. No family will have an additional burden. With this, we aim to create equal opportunities, and strengthen the sense of belonging among our children. Also, the Municipality of Chair will cover daily meals for all students who come from families that benefit from social assistance. No one will be left behind. Every child will have decent conditions to learn, to be fed and to grow up with dignity. At the same time, we will strengthen security in schools, with new physical and technological measures, in close cooperation with educational institutions and parents. Because every parent should be calm that their child is safe at school", declared Izet Mexhiti. /Telegrafi/
