Hoti's post that sparked reactions, what is happening in LDK?

"The result for the LDK is not satisfactory... The LDK needs new leadership. There is no other way to restore trust in the LDK," were some of the statements made by the member of the Presidency of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, who on Tuesday highlighted his dissatisfaction with the party.

According to Hoti, the LDK needs a leadership that works with full transparency towards party structures at all levels, that returns the party to statutory functioning, that makes collegial decisions based on the LDK statute (which is the party's constitution) and in broad consultation with the party's central and local structures, Telegrafi reports.

This post by Hoti, The post published on the social network was widely commented on by his followers, but there was also 'support' from several other LDK members, such as Rrezarta Krasniqi, Agim Veliu, Arben Gashi and Driton Selmanaj, who liked Hoti's post.

It is not known whether liking the post is also related to their dissatisfaction with the party, or if it is simply a like for the post made by their party colleague.

Meanwhile, Agim Veliu has stated that "Being powerless to change the situation in the political house, where the head of the family (the president) has formally brought you "close" to himself is not very tragic."

"It is regrettable that you are forced, or that you force yourself to obey your boss and go public and defend the "leader", who is sending a large political family, which for 35 years was an example of democracy and meritocracy, to the brink of collapse," he wrote on his Facebook profile.

However, Hoti's post also prompted other reactions, offering support for LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku.

Lutfi Haziri, the party's deputy chairman, stated that "On a day like this, it must be reiterated that LDK does not belong to functionaries, but to its membership."

"LDK President Abdixhiku came from an extraordinary Assembly, as a result of the most difficult historical result. This was an Assembly of coping with the extraordinary situation, with a unifying spirit and a common journey," he emphasized.
