Trump administration's religious affairs chief: Women should be submissive to men

Paula White, head of the White House Office of Religious Affairs, has said that women should be "submissive" to men.

Paula White, who the president recently appointed, told Real America's Voice on Wednesday that "God has an order," adding: "Look, the head of my family is my husband, Jonathan Cain," the Telegraph reports.

The evangelist told host Steve Gruber: "If ever a decision has to be made and we disagree on something, he's the leader. It's not hard to give in."

President Donald Trump in February signed an executive order creating an Office of Faith in the White House, vowing to "restore religion" to the United States and "protect Christians."

He appointed White, his longtime spiritual advisor, to lead the initiative. The two first met in 2002, when Trump called her after watching one of her sermons on television.

White's appointment was met with backlash from some of Trump's MAGA Christian supporters, who took to social media to label White a "heretic" for preaching "prosperity theology," which teaches that God rewards true believers with material wealth and personal success.

White, who is twice divorced, made the comments about women's need to come forward while discussing whether Trump's endorsement of worship was encouraging people to go to church. She celebrated what she described as a religious revival.

"God is moving mightily, and what's so exciting to me? This is especially among young men and men. Men are coming back to church faster," White said.

Gruber chimed in, saying, "See what he's saying there? Again, men – we need more fathers, more husbands, more real men."

“They are becoming the cornerstone, so God designed it,” White continued.

"That's how it should be," Gruber said. /Telegraph/
