A double murder occurred on Thursday in the village of Golluboc, Malisheva, where two brothers were killed. The suspect in this incident is the son-in-law of the victims.

The suspected murderer initially fled the scene, but today the police managed to arrest him.


The news was confirmed to the Telegraph by the director of the Regional Police in Gjakova, Lumni Graishta.

"Today at around 06:30, the suspect was arrested. He was injured. After receiving first aid, he was sent for treatment to the UCCK," Graishta said.

The arrest of the suspect has also been confirmed by the Basic Prosecution Office in Gjakova.

"The Basic Prosecution Office in Gjakova informs the public that in connection with the case of the double murder that occurred in the village of Golluboc, Municipality of Malisheva, the suspect AI, who had previously been on the run, has been arrested. Regarding the case, the Kosovo Police, in full coordination with the State Prosecutor, is taking all necessary actions," the announcement states.

Furthermore, the Prosecution says that within the legally prescribed deadline, a request for the imposition of pre-trial detention against suspect AI will be submitted to the competent Court.

Otherwise, the suspect, with the initials AI, is suspected of having killed the two brothers in the yard of their house.

It is learned that the suspect has previously had problems with the law, for which the Prosecution in Pristina had filed an indictment against him for the criminal offenses of "Domestic Violence" and "Threats".

"Regarding your question, we inform you that the state prosecutor filed a request for the determination of the measure of detention against the suspect AI, on 06.04.2025, which was also determined by the competent court. Also, on 07.04.2025, the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina filed an indictment against the defendant AI, for the criminal offenses of "Domestic Violence" under Article 248 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo, and "Threat" under Article 181 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo," Kaltrina Shala, spokesperson for the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina, confirmed to Telegrafi.
