The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has reacted following the decision of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo to impose a temporary measure regarding the decree on the dissolution of the Assembly.

In a press release, the Government announced that the Court's decision suspends the implementation of the decree dissolving the Assembly and sending the country to new elections, until the case is fully reviewed.

According to the announcement, this decision creates space for the case to be fully addressed by the Constitutional Court, in accordance with the constitutional order and the principles of the democratic functioning of institutions.

The government has also emphasized that the country is already facing a waiting period, during which a number of agreements and decisions of importance to citizens remain without the approval of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.

"We have been in a state of waiting for three weeks while a series of agreements and decisions of importance to citizens continue to remain without the approval of the Assembly," the statement says.

The government has expressed its expectation that the final decision of the Constitutional Court will bring complete clarity on this issue and define the constitutional standard, so that in the future institutions and citizens will not face such serious obstacles.Telegrafi/
