The terrifying amount of money that Mbappe rejected from PSG for just one more year of stay

Kylian Mbappe had decided to sign with Real Madrid and the player informed PSG last May that he would not exercise the automatic renewal clause for another year included in his last contract in May 2022.

The newspaper L'Équipe revealed this afternoon the amounts set for that third season. Neither more nor less than 250 million euros.

The French newspaper breaks down this astronomical sum as follows: 70 million euros in salary, a 20% increase compared to last season, and 180 million euros in bonuses and other amounts related to image rights.

Despite the offer, the player had decided to leave for Madrid and the dispute between the player and the club began with the controversial letter he sent to the club's offices in June 2023, informing the club that he would not fulfill the third season.

The contract that Mbappé has signed with Madrid is nowhere near what PSG offered him, although he is the player with the highest income in the team thanks to a transfer fee that, according to L'Équipe, is 100 million euros, to which must be added a salary of 32 million euros plus another part for image rights that no other player enjoys.
