Newly released surveillance footage captured the chilling moment a gunman walked up to Los Angeles rapper Slim 400 and shot him eight times, killing him.
The stark black-and-white footage, whose authenticity has been confirmed by police, shows an unidentified gunman pulling up to the rapper's driveway in Inglewood with a gun in hand and approaching a parked vehicle where rapper Slim 400 was sitting.
The gunman ambushed the 33-year-old performer, whose real name was Vincent Cohran, around 19:50 on Wednesday, writes Dailymail.
The gunman was caught firing three shots at the rapper, while Slim 400 hits the assailant as they retreat.
As he is being shot, the Slim 400 appears to be reaching for or clinging to the shooter's gun or arm.
The gunman continues to shoot the rapper who continues to move towards the street before leaving the scene.
Law enforcement eventually arrived on the scene after calls of shots fired and transported the rapper to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

The execution came just hours after Slim 400 released a new music video for the song "Caviar Gold," and follows the rapper's death in 2019, when he was shot eight times.
Separately, Slim 400 has also feuded with snitch rapper Tekashi 69 and got into a public match with him in 2018.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany to a military family, Cohran returned to Los Angeles at a young age and grew up in Compton.
He was signed to the now-defunct label Pu$haz Ink and is best known for his 2015 album Foe Block.
On Wednesday, hours before his death, Slim 400 released the video for his new single "Caviar Gold," which appears to refer to a brand of high-THC cannabis products.
Slim 400 also feuded with Tekashi 69 and collided with him outside the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach in November 2018, according to TMZ.
Slim 400's death comes weeks after the shooting death of Memphis rapper Young Dolph, who was shot and killed on November 17. /Telegraph/
