"If you report the case to the police, I will kill your son, father, brothers and the whole family. I can go to prison and stay for 3-4 years, but when I get out, I will kill you and your family because I saw you get out of prison."

These threats to kill the family, anxiety, beatings, hundreds and thousands of different monthly interest payments for usury, are allegedly some of the actions that the suspect Eduard Kaçinari had undertaken over a period of several years.

29-year-old Eduard Kaçinari and his brother Anton Kaçinari, 31, are the two arrested who were later detained by order of the Prizren Prosecutor's Office on suspicion of usury and extortion.

KALLXO.com has managed to secure the file with which the two brothers from Prizren are now being charged with suspicions of usury and extortion.

The story is described as starting in the summer of 2021 in Prizren, when the victim in this case heard that Eduard was lending money with interest and decided to borrow 4 thousand euros from him. Eduard gave him the money at 20% interest per month, which meant that every month he had to pay 800 euros in interest alone. After two months, he paid 1 thousand 600 euros in interest and also returned the debt of 4 thousand euros.



The victim then borrows another 10,000 euros at 15% monthly interest, and then another 20,000 euros at the same interest rate. For these 30,000 euros, he pays 4,500 euros per month for 7 months, which makes a total of 31,500 euros in interest alone, and in addition, he repays 30,000 euros in principal.

The file describes that in the fall of 2022, because his father was ill and needed surgery, the victim was again forced to take another 30 thousand euros with 10% monthly interest. For 7 months, he paid 3 thousand euros per month, so 21 thousand euros only in interest without the debt money.

Later he takes out another 15 thousand euros also with 10% monthly interest, so the debt reaches 45 thousand euros and the monthly interest becomes 4 thousand and 500 euros. For 17 consecutive months he pays 4 thousand and 500 euros every month, which makes a total of 76 thousand and 500 euros in interest and then manages to repay the basic debt of 45 thousand euros.

Thousands of euros that were circulating illegally, i.e. with interest, also caused economic difficulties for the victim. The file describes that because of these large payments, the victim also went into other debts and took out loans from banks. In March 2024, he received another 170 thousand euros from Eduard to settle other debts.

This amount is given with 10% monthly interest, which means 17 thousand euros per month in interest only.

For 16 consecutive months, he paid 17 thousand euros every month, which totals 272 thousand euros in interest alone, not including the principal debt.

When the victim could no longer continue with the payments, the suspect demanded 350 thousand euros from him in interest alone, not including the principal debt. To pay this amount, he demanded that the victim give him the premises and the house, which are worth about 1 million euros.

The file further states that on 11.03.2026 the suspect went with the victim and his mother to a private bailiff and then to a notary to arrange the documents for the transfer of ownership of the property into his name.

However, because the police were using special investigative measures, they intervened and Eduard Kaçinari was arrested in flagrante delicto. With the actions mentioned above, the 29-year-old is suspected of usury, while the prosecution has also raised suspicions of another criminal offense, that of intimidation.

With the words "I will kill your family and you too", Eduard allegedly addressed the victim for a period of several years. In order to pay the interest, Eduard Kaçinari allegedly threatened the victim with the words "if you report the case to the police, I will kill your son, father, brothers and the entire family", actions which the file says he repeated several times, even on frequent occasions with a revolver in his hand, letting him know that "I can go to prison, stay 3-4 years, but when you get out I will kill you and your family because I have seen you get out of prison".

The file even describes that the victim received the last threat on 08.03.2026 in the evening, in the basement of the victim's house, which is located below the premises.

The file provided by KALLXO.com tells of the actions of Eduard's brother, this time, Anton Kaçinari.

According to the investigation, the two brothers Anton Kaçinari and Eduard Kaçinari are suspected of having acted together in Prizren during 2025 with the aim of illegally obtaining money through very high interest rates, taking advantage of the difficult financial situation of the two victims.

After the first victim, who was described in Edward's part, could no longer afford the interest payments, he had asked his friend for help in finding the money.

The friend, the second victim in the case, informs him that he does not have his money, but can get it with interest from Anton Kaçinari. In this way, the second victim of the case receives from Antoni on several occasions the amount of 80 thousand euros with monthly interest of 10% and delivers this money to the first victim.

The victim described in the case of Eduard Kaçinari, for eight consecutive months, paid 8 thousand euros per month just for interest, which totaled 64 thousand euros. This money was handed over to Anton through the second injured party.

When the first victim can no longer keep up with the payments, Eduard Kaçinari steps in. He is demanding 200 euros in interest that is allegedly left over from the money received through the person who sought help from the first victim, as well as 350 euros in other interest that he claims is owed by the second victim. In total, he is demanding 550 euros in interest alone.

To pay this amount, Eduard asks the first victim to transfer ownership of his premises and house, which are valued at around one million euros.

The two brothers were arrested by the police on the orders of the prosecution on 11.03.2026.

The file also describes that during 2026 in Prizren, defendants Anton Kaçinari and Eduard Kaçinari allegedly used force and serious threats against the second victim to force him to pay interest on debts.

After the victim failed to pay the interest, the defendants constantly pressured and threatened him. In several cases, the file states that the Kaçinari brothers beat him with punches and kicks to force him to pay. The last case of beating, according to the description, occurred on 05.03.2026.

The two Kaçinari brothers are not unknown to law enforcement. Based on the file obtained by KALLXO.com, they have several criminal offenses registered by the police and the prosecution.
