The epic reason why there were blue flares at Liverpool's title celebration is revealed

Liverpool was home to a festive atmosphere on Sunday at Anfield, a stadium that was covered in red, but before the match, some blue flares interrupted an incredible view donated by the English giant's fans.

All Liverpool had to do in the duel against Tottenham was to avoid defeat, to ultimately be declared champions for the first time in five years.

The fans had no doubts and flooded the stadium to greet the team and coach before the match.

Virgil Van Dijk requested an 'Anfield' dominated by red before the match and the fans granted his request.

A 'sea' of red shirts greeted the team outside the stadium with a festive atmosphere that had already begun hours earlier.

However, in the midst of the celebration, some blue flares were seen. When the Liverpool bus arrived, footage captured some blue flares in the air.

And there's already a theory as to why this happened, after a social media post went viral.

It seems someone had switched the labels in an attempt to ruin the party at Anfield.

A user of the social network X claimed that a friend of his was responsible for this situation.

"My friend just sent me a message. He bought 10 blue flashlights and spent the last four weeks removing the blue labels and putting red ones on them," he wrote.

Liverpool's celebration continued and this incident did not affect the fans much, however, they have the right to be irritated considering the rivalry with Everton.Telegraph/
