The United States Embassy in Pristina has distributed a notice from the US Department of State regarding the suspension of the issuance of all Diversity Visa (DV) immigrant visas.
According to the announcement, the State Department has taken this decision to take the time and measures necessary to protect the national security and public safety of the United States.
The announcement also notes that there is currently no new information regarding the 2027 visa lottery.
"In case you missed it: The Department of State has suspended the issuance of all diversity immigrant visas. We will take the time and measures necessary to protect the national security and public safety of the United States. There are currently no new announcements regarding DV-2027," the announcement distributed by the US Embassy in Pristina states.
US authorities have not given a deadline for when this decision might be reconsidered.
