Presidential election, Haziri: This time the LDK vote will be evaluated differently

The Vice President of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lutfi Haziri, spoke about the process of electing the country's new president, following the parliamentary elections of December 28, emphasizing that the current position of the LDK is that the position of president be filled by a name acceptable to all political parties.
Haziri emphasized that, although the Vetëvendosje Movement has scored a historic victory in the elections and has secured the majority for the formation of new institutions, the issue of the president still remains open and requires political consensus.
He recalled that last time LDK deputies voted for Vjosa Osmani as president for the sake of political stability. According to him, this time the situation is different and the decision will not be made in the same way.
"At the moment, our position is that we need a name acceptable to everyone. Who exercises the duty of president. This is the official position we have... in reality, the LDK deputies last time voted for political stability and without anger. The pain was great, but they did it. This time they will evaluate the vote for president completely differently," said Haziri.
