Following the resignation of Memli Krasniqi from the position of leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Convention to elect a new leader is scheduled to be held on Monday, November 17.
However, some reactions have been made about the calling of this convention, initially Enver Hoxhaj, requested the postponement of this Convention, claiming that a serious party cannot hold a political and substantive convention in such a short time, the Telegraph reports.
After this, the PDK general secretary reacted, Vlora Citaku, saying that any member who meets the criteria set forth in the Statute is welcome to run.
The mayor of Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci, also participated in the debate and said that "Two days, declarations, congratulations and wishes from central and local PDK leaders and citizens, have highlighted the past and the commitment to unity, after Krasniqi's resignation."
"Friendly and understanding attitudes are understandable. However, the responsibility of the party's organization and structure, for the dummies in the branches, or for the capital failure to oppose the current government, which is the worst since liberation, is not being addressed," he stressed.
He further wrote that "For the sake of unity, it is not being said where it went wrong, the position and the largest opposition in Drenas are PDK, the decision-makers do not want to mention yet that PDK has won in seven municipalities."
"My life's work is inseparable from Hashim, Kadriu, Jakupi and other patriots, this fact should not be misused," declared Lladrovci.
Among other things, he wrote that he expects the candidate for PDK chairman to have a Platform and a political statement.
"I expect to present the narrow and broad leadership that will be able to remove the current government from further degradation of the state. Although I am not in Kosovo, I will follow the developments in the PDK Assembly on Monday with interest, awaiting the answer as to what is the path of the party of our heroes of war and peace. PDK is freedom itself and the state of Kosovo."
Otherwise, Memli Krasniqi resigned a few days ago, while so far Bedri Hamza has announced his candidacy for PDK chairman. /Telegraph/
