The documentation of the High Prosecutor's Office in Skopje is being checked, suspicions of data alteration by a prosecutor

The competent public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecution Office in Štip today conducted an inspection at the High Public Prosecution Office in Skopje and provided evidence in the procedure for criminal offenses of abuse of official position and authorization and mistreatment in the performance of service initiated against a public prosecutor.

"The public prosecutor and professional associates from the Public Prosecutor's Office in Stip documented the data entered into the registers and the manner in which the cases were entered. On that occasion, a comparison was also made with the testimonies of the injured parties - the complainants, regarding the manner in which they emphasize that they intervened during the filing of the cases," the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of North Macedonia announced today.

The document check, the statement says, was conducted entirely in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Criminal Procedure and a report will be prepared with findings for all persons present.
