After the publication of the Exit Poll results by UBO Consulting, which were broadcast on the Debat Plus show, a discrepancy was noted in the Municipality of Mitrovica between the predictions and the preliminary results announced by the Central Election Commission (CEC).
According to Exit Poll, PDK candidate Arian Tahiri was leading convincingly with 55.9% of the votes, followed by LVV candidate Faton Peci with 39.7%. LDK candidate Gezim Plakolli had only 4.4%. However, preliminary CEC results showed a very close race, with Tahiri receiving 47.89% and Peci 47.80%, sending Mitrovica to a runoff.
Following reactions to this, the director of UBO Consulting, Valon Feka, has publicly clarified that there was no manipulation or influence on the results of the Exit Poll.
He emphasized that the work of UBO Consulting has always been independent and professional, and that the cooperation with TV Dukagjini is built on the principle of complete freedom in public opinion measurements.
"So we have had 12 Exit Polls, 11 of them had no impact on the measurement of who will win, whether with or without a runoff, so they have a margin of error. From the beginning, I am very sorry for the difference between our Exit Poll and the CEC results for the municipality of Mitrovica. I understand that the viewers of Debat Plusi but also the partners that UBO works with have much higher expectations for UBO.
