The independent and opposition-supported candidate for the Municipality of Tirana, Florian Binaj, has reacted on social media after the decision of the constitutional court which ruled in favor of Erion Veliaj and overturned President Begaj's decree for elections in Tirana.
Binaj says he will run for the leadership of the largest municipality in the country, whenever elections are held.
"For me and for the citizens of Tirana, the essence remains the same: Tirana needs change.
I will run for mayor of Tirana whenever elections are held with the same conviction, dedication, and energy to serve the people with honesty, accountability, and transparency.
This is not a race for power, but an effort for our city, to make it the home we want to leave to our children.
"The support, encouragement and trust that thousands of citizens have given me these days have convinced me that together we will succeed. Our journey continues. Nothing will stop the change that the citizens of Tirana want," Binaj writes.
