The Commercial Court rules in favor of the Capital, Rama: No compromise with the public interest, we won the battle

The Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, has announced that the Second Instance Chambers of the Commercial Court have ruled in favor of the Capital City, confirming the illegality of the contract between the Public Housing Enterprise (NPB) and a private investor.
According to Rama, this decision constitutes a full confirmation of justice and institutional commitment to the protection of public property, emphasizing that the legal path followed for four years in a row has been fair and in the interest of citizens.
"Through our institutional representation in the NPB and through the Legal Office of the Municipality of Pristina, we have insisted continuously and without compromise that this contract was illegal and harmful to the public interest. Today, this assessment is also confirmed by the Commercial Court," Rama declared.
He announced that the Municipality of Pristina has taken all legal and procedural steps, drafting and supporting the lawsuit for the termination of the contract, while the Legal Office of the Municipality has officially requested to be an interested party in the process, with the aim of terminating the contract and returning public property to the citizens.
Rama emphasized that this decision sends a clear message that the public interest is not negotiable, the law will be protected, and the Capital will always be governed in the service of citizens.
"Nobody is above the law. Nobody on public property," he concluded.Telegrafi/
