VALEN Coalition proposes Alban Kadriu as member of the Judicial Council

The Elections and Appointments Commission gave the green light to Alban Kadriu to become a member of the Judicial Council, who should fill the seat of Selim Ademi, whose mandate is ending. The proposal came from the VALEN Coalition, and was supported by OBRM-PDUKM. The proposal must be voted on in a plenary session.
"Mr. Kadriu is a person of integrity, non-partisan, which is very important to mention, and since he meets the conditions, I can freely say that he will be a person who will honestly and independently and autonomously carry out his duties as a member of the Judicial Council. A Judicial Council that has often been in public debate for its inability to function," said Bekim Qoku, MP for VALEN.
The European Front's proposal was for Arbër Isaku to be a member of the Judicial Council, however this proposal was not supported by the members of the Commission.
Kadriu is a graduate lawyer and currently a PhD student. He began his career in 2007 as a junior government associate, and since 2008 he has been employed in the Tetovo Internal Affairs Sector, in the Minor Offenses Unit.
In addition to Kadri, 9 other candidates have also presented themselves in the competition, namely Fehmi Stava, Ganimete Bexheti Ismaili, Feuzi Xhaferi, Moni Avziji, Vedat Salihi, Demir Hamidi, Arbër Isaku, Sejfulla Osmani and Zoran Petkovski.
In the coming period, another member of the Judicial Council is expected to be appointed, as Vesna Dameva's mandate ends tomorrow. /Alsat/
