Closing parallel institutions, Krasniqi: Not why they were closed, but why they were open until today

The Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, has said that the discussion about Serbian institutions in Kosovo should be about why they have been open until today, and not, according to him, why they are closed today.

Krasniqi added that the citizens of Kosovo have the municipalities of Kosovo, the Post of Kosovo, and the Tax Administration of Kosovo, as well as all other institutions based on the Constitution of Kosovo and the legislation in force.

"Serbia's parallel criminal institutions in Kosovo have already been closed. Parallel municipalities, parallel post offices, parallel tax administrations. The citizens of Kosovo have the municipalities of Kosovo, the Kosovo Post Office, and the Kosovo Tax Administration, as well as all other institutions based on the Constitution of Kosovo and the legislation in force. The discussion about Serbia's institutions in Kosovo should not be about why they are closed today, but how they have been open until today," he wrote on Facebook, reports Telegrafi.

Several parallel municipalities of Serbia, as well as its post and tax offices, were closed on Wednesday in ten municipalities of Kosovo, on the south side of the Ibar River.

Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla has announced that parallel municipalities in Serbia, post offices and tax offices in ten different municipalities have been closed.

Police actions were taken in the municipalities of Lipjan, Obiliq, Pristina, Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje, Vushtrri, Novo Brdo, Kamenica, Viti, Rahovec and Skenderaj.

Meanwhile, the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina has said that it has not authorized the conduct of the control or search in these locations, because according to it, there was no official written request for this action to be carried out by the relevant institutions. /Telegrafi/
