The Network of CSOs for Pre-University Education (ROSCAP) has reacted after the incident that occurred at a school in Pristina, where a teacher is suspected of using physical violence against a student, while several students attacked the teacher.

ROSCAP has condemned all forms of violence in schools, calling the case an indication of the urgent need to create a safer and more supportive environment for students and teachers.

"This incident is a clear indication of the urgent need to create a safer and more supportive environment in schools, where students and teachers can work and learn without fear of violence," the ROSCAP statement said.

The organization has called on responsible institutions, including the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, municipal education directorates and other relevant bodies, to increase security measures in schools, including installing cameras, training staff in managing tense situations and strengthening the physical security presence.

ROSCAP has also called for the creation of training and psychological support opportunities for students and teachers, the strengthening of student and school staff protection policies, and the improvement of support for students at risk.

"It is time to take immediate and concrete steps to prevent and stop violence in schools, so that every student and teacher can feel safe in the school environment," the statement said.

ROSCAP has emphasized the importance of respecting human rights standards in education and has called for joint action by all stakeholders to protect the well-being and safety of students and educational staff. /Telegrafi/
