They stopped a car that had violated traffic rules, the police in California had no one to write a ticket to - it turned out to be an autonomous vehicle

California police recently experienced the 'charm' of the modern era - they stopped a car, but there was no one to write it a ticket.
"During a drunk driving enforcement operation, our officers noticed something unusual: an autonomous vehicle made an illegal turn in front of them," San Bruno police wrote in a social media post.
Officers stopped a Waymo robotaxi, a Jaguar I-Pace, and contacted the company to inform them of the incident, the Telegraph reports.
"Since there was no human driver, a fine could not be issued (we do not have a 'robot' section). We hope the reprogramming will prevent illegal turns," the police added.
This time, the robotaxi went unpunished, but police explained that "a legal framework is being worked on to allow companies to be fined." /Telegraph/
