The book "Rugova - the intellectual leader" is published, Abdixhiku: Our President remains the founder and creator of the state of Kosovo

Today marks 19 years since the death of the former president of Kosovo, Ibrahim Rugova.

On the anniversary of his death, several activities were organized, one of which was the promotion of a new book by the "Ibrahim Rugova" Foundation entitled "Rugova - the Intellectual Leader".

The leader of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku, wrote on his Facebook profile that every January 21, they come together to remember, honor and appreciate the great work of our historic President, Ibrahim Rugova.

"And on this 19th anniversary of his passing into eternity, we are enriching the cultural and political thought about Rugova, Rugova's legacy, as unique, inexhaustible, with a new book, published by the "Ibrahim Rugova" Foundation, entitled, "Rugova - the intellectual leader." Rugova is the intellectual leader and this book includes studies, essays and assessments by various authors, from all Albanian regions, of different ages, that underline this dimension, but also present other aspects of Rugova's major contribution to Albanian politics, culture and art. And this is the best sign and the clearest evidence of the active life that Rugova's work plays in new realities, as well as evidence of the multidimensional value that it has for each time", he affirmed.

Abdixhiku further added that "our president remains the founder and creator of the state of Kosovo, leaving behind a rich legacy, a political school, a foundation for my work and that of the party I lead."

"Rugova is the man who gave shape and substance to our state, he is the political and cultural leader, who led us with knowledge, will and dedication in very difficult times; invincible in the face of challenges and unwavering in the sublime ideals of freedom, independence and Western democracy," he added.

Among other things, Abdixhiku claimed that the "Ibrahim Rugova" foundation has done good work over the years in the field of publications, by publishing works by Ibrahim Rugova, by collecting and systematizing his creativity scattered in the press of the time, by publishing works like this one, by authors and researchers about Rugova, but also by publishing works by other authors of public interest.

"Thus, we are taking care to preserve, cultivate and transmit to the new generations Rugovism, in the most original way, its political, literary and cultural thought, convinced that such a heritage is a great, very valuable and irreplaceable asset, to understand the Kosovo of yesterday and to be served by it, to build the Kosovo of tomorrow.
