The US President's envoy for special missions around the world, Richard Grenell, has reacted again to the large protest in support of former KLA leaders today in Tirana.
"The Hague is out of control. This is what Jack Smith has done," Grenell wrote on the X network, referring to the former Special Prosecutor who had filed the indictment against Thaçi.
Jack Smith resigned from the Special Prosecutor's Office in November 2022.
A large nationwide protest was held in Tirana today against the injustice being done to former KLA leaders in The Hague.
Grenell this year called for the release of former President Hashim Thaçi, saying that this unjust imprisonment must end.
The indictment alleges that Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi committed war crimes.
