The Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, has stated that the party's Presidency has decided that the LDK Assembly will be convened on January 31, describing this process as an expression of internal democracy and not as a crisis.

Abdixhiku announced that the decision was made after an open and responsible discussion at the Presidency meeting, emphasizing that the Assembly is the highest body of the party where the most important decisions are made, in accordance with the statute and democratic tradition of the LDK.

"This is our way of acting; with order, with transparency and with respect for the membership. LDK resolves internal issues where they belong; in its bodies and before the elected delegates," Abdixhiku declared.

He emphasized that in a political climate often filled with tensions and divisive language, LDK chooses calm, broad dialogue and faith in internal democracy, underlining that debate is healthy, while division without debate and without democracy is harmful.

According to him, the January 31 Assembly represents an opportunity for reflection, unity and strengthening of the party. “It is not a crisis, but an opportunity to be heard, to unite around our values and to emerge stronger from this process,” he added.

Abdixhiku recalled that LDK has overcome many challenges over the years, but has always maintained the fundamental values of democracy, dignity and trust in its membership. He emphasized that responsibility in the party is never shied away, especially in difficult moments.

"In LDK, we do not shy away from responsibility. This house was not built for personal comfort, but for service and responsibility towards an ideal greater than each of us," Abdixhiku declared.

Finally, he expressed his belief that after January 31, LDK will move forward clearer, more united and better prepared for the political challenges that await it.Telegrafi/
