The Macedonian Parliament has canceled all activities planned for this week due to the tragedy that occurred in Kocani.
At the coordination meeting, the Speaker of the Assembly, Afrim Gashi, proposed, and those present unanimously approved, the statement that all Assembly activities scheduled for this week are canceled. The Assembly will meet only if there is a need to approve acts related to the tragedy in Kocani.
Today's coordination took place at 10 am in the government hall of the Assembly, and was attended by the Speaker of the Assembly, the deputy speakers and coordinators of all parliamentary groups, as well as the Secretary General and a representative from the Government.
The coordination began with tributes to the victims who tragically lost their lives in the fire in Kocani. Those present expressed their condolences to the families of the fire victims and hope that the hospitalized will return to their families in good health as soon as possible.
On Saturday night, a fire broke out at a discotheque in Kocani, killing 59 people and injuring over 150.
