The Art Gallery in Pristina is reopening

After more than two decades, the Art Gallery in Pristina, founded on February 2, 1979, is returning to citizens and artists, reports Telegraph.
The Mayor of Pristina announced that the space located in the Youth Palace, which had meanwhile been transformed into a business space, is now regaining its original function as a center for art and creativity.
The Art Gallery was the first exhibition space in Kosovo, at a time when the country was still part of the former Yugoslavia.
Its inaugural exhibition titled "Our Contemporaries" marked the beginning of an important period for Kosovar visual art.
The reopening of the Gallery will be marked by a special exhibition that will bring together all the artists who have exhibited in this space during the 70s and 80s, thus creating a symbolic bridge between generations of creators and restoring the Gallery as an important center of visual culture in Pristina. /Telegrafi/
