Airline apologizes after showing 'adult film' - during flight from Sydney to Tokyo

An airline has apologized after an adult-rated film was shown to all passengers on a flight - including families with young children.

The "inappropriate" display took place on a Qantas flight from Sydney to Tokyo after the plane's in-flight entertainment system malfunctioned before take-off, the Telegraph reports.

After staff were unable to fix the fault, the plane took off after a delay of more than an hour - with the crew deciding to show everyone the same film.

However, to the horror of some passengers on board the plane, a sexually explicit drama then began to play out.

According to media reports, the film is rated 18+ in the UK for language, sexual material and nudity, Restricted (R) in the US and MA15+ for "strong language and nudity". in Australia.

"It took almost an hour of this before they switched to a more kid-friendly movie, but it was very uncomfortable for everyone, especially with families and children on board," one passenger said.

He added: "How is this acceptable for a major airline?" /Telegraph/
