Top Channel journalist Vali Qyrfyçi has obtained the testimony of the 33-year-old, who says she worked two shifts to support her children, as she had no family support.
She says that yesterday she bought the children clothes, a set of warm pajamas, and blankets to spend the night in the hospital and no one gave them any clothes, contrary to what the Ministry stated last night.
"I worked two shifts to support the children because I had no family support. My parents live in France and I have no relatives here to help me care for them."
In 2025, my ex-husband proposed to me that we join forces to flee to Italy. We joined forces and he prepared the documents for the children. In September, he told me that he would no longer stay in Italy and left the children with me. He asked me to stay with him, saying that he could not support them alone.
I stayed in Albania for about three months for the paperwork procedures and, because I couldn't stay without my children, I took them with me to return. We discussed having the children stay with their father in Italy, but I couldn't leave them far away, so I took them and enrolled them in school here.
In November last year, the school informed me that the two boys were not going to school, as I was unable to take them every day. During that period, the children also developed scabies. I communicated the situation to them and asked for help from the municipality, requesting the intervention of social services to take measures in my case.
The municipality did not act. They called me to school about the children's absences and I explained that I could not stay locked up at home with them, without working. I told them that if they would help me concretely with social services, I would stay with the children, but in conditions where there was no real help, I was forced to work.
"I did not stay with my ex-husband because I cannot live with a person from whom I am separated. He only gave me 180 thousand old lek as support for the three children, an amount that was not enough for me, so I had no choice but to go to work," she stated. /Tch/
