Fetai: Venice Commission gives positive assessment to the Law on Fair and Adequate Representation

The Venice Commission has given a positive assessment to the Law on Fair and Adequate Representation, Deputy Prime Minister for Good Governance, Arben Fetai, informed.
"The Law on Fair and Adequate Representation is becoming a reality 24 years after the Ohrid Agreement. Positive assessment by the Venice Commission. Work, not football in state offices," Fetai writes on the social network Facebook.
We recall that the Venice Commission accepted the draft version of the law on fair representation from the government in July. It was asked to give its opinion on how far the law is in line with democratic principles and fundamental rights.
The government drafted the law on fair and adequate representation in June, about a year after the Constitutional Court abolished the mechanism known as the balancer, based on which principle, institutions were obliged to make appointments in the administration.
