The Consultative Council of the Turkish Democratic Party of Kosovo held a meeting under the chairmanship of the Party's chairman, Fikrim Damka.
The announcement states that the meeting discussed further steps that will be taken during the period of formation of the next Government.
"In the Kosovo Parliamentary Elections held on February 9, our party, by receiving the highest number of votes among the community parties, won the right to represent the Turkish community in Parliament with two deputies. As the only party of the Turkish community in Kosovo, KDTP will continue to work with determination for the unity, future and interests of Kosovo, as it has done so far," the party's announcement states.
Also, in accordance with the Program and Statute, this party emphasizes that it will continue to fulfill the responsibility of representation in accordance with the expectations and needs of the Turkish community in Parliament as well as in the Government.
"According to the Constitution, based on the official results of the elections in our country, the winning political party with the most votes will be given the mandate to form the Government by the President in the coming days."
