The Mayor of Podujeva, Shpejtim Bulliqi, paid homage in front of the statue of former Kosovo President, Ibrahim Rugova.
Bulliqi says that Rugova was the symbol of national unity, reports Telegrafi.
"Today, on the 19th anniversary of the passing of the historic President, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, we paid homage in front of his statue in Podujeva to honor his life and great work for the freedom and independence of Kosovo. Rugova was a symbol of national unity, a leader who, with his vision and wisdom, led our people towards freedom and state-building," he stated.
The head of Podujeva further adds that "His memory and work will always remain a guide for generations that continue his path for a free and democratic Kosovo."
