The Pristina Assembly will hold an extraordinary session today (November 27) on its own resources and the 2026 budget.

The capital is facing an extraordinary financial crisis, while municipal authorities are accusing the acting government led by Albin Kurti of not having allocated them at least their own funds.

On the other hand, Minister Hekuran Murati announced on Friday of last week (November 21) that they have allocated 3.2 million euros from the treasury, funds that were foreseen for the month of December, reports Telegrafi.

As a matter of urgency, the Pristina Municipal Assembly will hold this meeting in order to vote on the approval of the allocation of own funds and the approval of the budget for 2026.

On the other hand, the Central Electoral Commission has announced that at 11:00, they will hold a meeting where the final results for the second round of the Local Elections will be certified, where Përparim Rama, a candidate from the ranks of the LDK, emerged victorious against Hajrulla Çeku of the LVV.

Although it was warned that this call for an extraordinary meeting was illegal, with the certification of the mayors by the CEC, it paves the way for Përparim Rama to initially be sworn in as the re-elected mayor of Pristina and for the new assembly members to also be sworn in. /Telegrafi/
