"NATO airstrikes and raids", Buja: Hashim Thaçi has been the most reliable point of contact for internationals

On March 24, 26 years ago, the air bombing campaign against Yugoslavia began to stop the Serbian campaign for ethnic cleansing of Albanians in Kosovo.

Ramë Buja - former member of the KLA General Staff - recalled the time of March 24, 1999, when there were challenges to the talks taking place in Rambouillet.

One moment Buja remembers is when KFOR commanders told him to "take responsibility" for the developments that were taking place at the time.

Buja on TV Dukagjini said that former president Hashim Thaçi was the most reliable source of information for internationals regarding the circumstances of the war.

"The start was in Klecka in June 1998. But it was our boys who completed and held the Rambouillet conference. There was diplomacy. Hashim Thaçi had the main burden of this diplomacy. He knew how to lead, to realize the country's freedom. Hashim Thaçi was the most reliable point of contact for the internationals," said Buja.

He added that the unity of Kosovars in wartime had only one goal, that of Kosovo's freedom.
