Ministry of Health of Macedonia: In cooperation with the World Bank, committed to reforms in primary health care and improving health policies

The Minister of Health, Azir Aliu, held a working meeting today with the World Bank's regional director for the Western Balkans, Shaoshing Ju, where the Ministry's priorities for advancing public health were highlighted, the Ministry of Health announced.
"The Ministry of Health is institutionally mobilized and committed to fundamental reforms of the primary healthcare system, including the integration of the long-term care model. These two segments will be complemented by the digitalization process, which is a fundamental and comprehensive component of the healthcare system reform," declared Aliu.
The Ministry of Health says that the goal of these reforms is to improve health policies, increase access to health services closer to citizens' homes, and strengthen preventive health care.
They add that during the meeting, possibilities for the World Bank to provide analytical, technical and financial support for the implementation of these reform processes were discussed. /Telegraph/
